These are the kind of notifications you look forwa These are the kind of notifications you look forward to and keep you going. Thank you @roastologycoffee for the awesome review & @a.celestial.bean for the beautiful snap of our hand grinder.
.
"This beauty is called a coffee mill, a way to hand grind your coffee anywhere at anytime. With grind options ranging from Turkish (super fine) to French press (coarse). The ceramic burr and cast iron mechanisms create a stable and consistent grind. This is one sturdy machine, no plastic to be seen on this baby at all, sure to last for years to come! It's completely handmade here in the U.S. by Justin at @redroosterco. We're in love with this thing! It's perfect for camping or just to add some quaint old-time charm to your morning coffee routine."

It's a dirty job... but the end result is worth al It's a dirty job... but the end result is worth all the effort. Justin's dusting off this beautiful beast of a sliding door after working his magic to enhance all the character of the reclaimed lumber.

We say we love custom. And these clients put us to the test. 'Can you incorporate an A into the design?' Of course! 😊
.
Every project is a one-of-a-kind and this one is even more so with the initial of their last name built in. Justin loves these doors so much he was trying to figure out how to change his last name. 😁😉 He had some suggestions tossed at him teasingly... and decided that he could part with the doors.

Psst. We've been enjoying some springish weather here in Bible Grove... makes it pretty easy to look up.
They say it's your birthday... it's our birthday t They say it's your birthday... it's our birthday too. 😊
.
Justin & I started Red Rooster on April 1, 2010 (no joke... sorry, not sorry). 😏
.
We've added a few things along the way... but our best seller has remained our hand grinder.
.
This picture of the original Camano Coffee Mill was captured when I visited my sister in Virginia. Cool thing is... the original still holds its own. While I was there I used it every morning. It is a great mechanism.
.
Some of you may know the story... If you have ever built something from scratch, we probably have a lot in common, just looks a little different from the outside looking in.
.
We always loved the idea of having our own mechanism built right here close to home, in the good Ol' US of A. We were handed that opportunity in 2014, when we started the process. Little did we know all that would entail.
.
Just a couple years later we were able to release the new & improved mechanism. We were told that it went a lot faster than what is standard for manufacturing a product here. When you are in the middle of a whole new world... these words from the cheerleaders in your life mean so much.
.
With several more hiccups and downright brick walls... we kept on. We've made improvements along the way. And... maybe I am biased, in fact I know I am, but we use our hand grinder every day a couple times a day. We have used an electric grinder and coffee pot in the past. When we started hand grinding our coffee and using a pour over or french press plus good coffee we noticed a huge difference in taste. We tasted the coffee alone.
.
And you know how they say necessity is the mother of invention? Welp... in the years we had in the manufacturing process we tried on a lot of hats to keep making that bacon. Have you seen Justin's reclaimed furniture & accents such as barnwood trusses, posts, stair railings, mantles, floating shelves etc... if you can think it up he can build it.
.
This has turned into a book... oops. I've not been this long-winded in a post before... but hey, it's our birthday! So I'll finish up in the comments for those still here.
"This one is my favorite." I say... every. single. "This one is my favorite." I say... every. single. time. Justin builds something. I look back at all of his masterpieces and love them all, but he just keeps getting better. Guess what they say is true... Practice makes perfect.
.
This trestle table, benches & beam light landed in Oklahoma. It was our pleasure to deliver them along with a few other Red Rooster pieces that added old-world charm and warmth to their remodel.
.
After meeting the family, I can only imagine the folks that will gather around this table to enjoy good food, conversation and a lot of laughter. These are the moments that turn into forever memories.
.
I have to agree with this quote... "There is something profoundly satisfying about sharing a meal. Eating together, breaking bread together, is one of the oldest and most fundamentally unifying of human experiences." After a quick search this quote is credited to Barbara Coloroso, but if you look back further we have an even earlier example of this practice. Jesus often took time to slow down, break bread with his closest friends and just hang out. I'd say He is the ultimate example and we would benefit from following Him.
.
Cheers to taking some time to slow down, break bread with your people and enjoy the moments that add up & turn into forever memories. ~♡ Britta
